Having stayed around Haidian and more specifically Zhongguancun most of the time during my exchange, I'm actually quite surprised there were this many foreigners around in the center of Beijing. Heck, I'm practically flabbergasted when I encounter native Chinese vendors who can actually speak English. If I had discovered this English-speaking Mecca called Sanlitun earlier in my stay, I would have visited more often, even if most of the services are overpriced. As it is, I only went to the Yashow clothing market to buy a fake Giorgio Armani satchel bag. Oh, and you can see me in the reflection.

Image by micah.woods New sunglasses today! My old ones are in the Gulf of Mexico so I’ve been wearing my Giorgio Armani tortoise shell sunglasses from the 80’s. Lot’s of laughs!
